How to use your microneedling pen

Cleanse your skin thoroughly and apply a hyaluronic acid serum. Move the microneedling pen slowly over your skin with light pressure. Start with a low needle depth and adjust it as you go to suit the treatment area and how your skin reacts. Skin thickness varies across the face, so don't use the same depth everywhere.

Recommended needle depths

• Forehead, nose, under the eyes and upper lip: 0.25–0.5 mm
• Temples: 0.5–0.75 mm
• Chin and jawline: 0.5–1.0 mm
• Cheeks: 0.5–1.5 mm
• Facial scars: start at 0.5 mm and increase gradually depending on how your skin reacts (up to 1.5 mm for targeted treatment of deeper scars).

Always start at the low end of the range. Depths above 1.0 mm require extra experience and care, and should only be used on the cheeks and for targeted treatment of deeper scars. 2.0–2.5 mm is not a normal treatment depth for the face.

The microneedling pen must not be used on the eyelids or directly inside the bony rim of the eye socket.

After the treatment, your skin may be slightly red, warm or a little swollen. We recommend applying a light, fragrance-free face cream to hydrate and soothe the skin. Give your skin a rest, and use sun protection for the next few days.
